The Monsoon of June 19th

Well tonight was an experience...

My best friends and I were given free vip ticket upgrades at a music festival and were standing in the pit waiting for Grouplove to start playing when the sky opened up and we were told to "seek shelter immediately" and sprinted through the thunder and lightning into a parking garage, losing a contact lens along the way, where a somewhat party/rave ensued before the power went out. Hopefully we'll have better luck tomorrow night at Cage the Elephant!

The End!

School is officially out and we are finally seniors! It's time to celebrate! My best friends and I went out to lunch at our favorite local restaurant after our final exam, a lovely start to my summer.

I hope you all are having a beautiful day, I know I am!

Looking Back

As tomorrow marks the end of my junior year and the beginning of summer, it's time to take a look back on the year and how far I've come!

August
I soaked up some sun and spent the summer on the water. I also had the opportunity to visit my cousins in Georgia and see UGA!

September
Football season started and I celebrated my 17th birthday with family and friends

October
We cheered our football team to victory in our homecoming football game and my best friend left for France for three months

November
My family celebrated thanksgiving in AT&T stadium watching the Dallas cowboys

December
I visited my "twin" at SMU for a weekend

January
The world was taken over by snow and ice and I didn't go to school for an entire week!

February
I arrived in Normandy, France!

March
more France

April
Crew season was in full swing

May
Prom! (My date and I were terribly uncoordinated, but it was nice seeing my rowers all dressed up)

June
Final exams and the start of summer WOOHOO!

Junior year has been amazing, but I'm definitely glad to have it over with. I'm looking forward to seeing where life takes me this summer and into next fall!
